We’ve been stretched, we’ve been pulled, we’ve been put through the wringer. But now it’s time to “rebound.” It’s time to bounce back, come back better, and benefit from the many lessons learned to reignite engagement, accelerate learning, and move forward with fresh optimism and better systems for schooling.

Dr. John Almarode will focus on Clarity for Learning Five Essential Practices That Empower Students and Teachers. Teacher clarity is both a method and a mindset, and it has an effect size of 0.75 (Hattie, 2009). With the ever-changing landscape of education, teachers and leaders often find themselves searching for clarity in a sea of standards, curriculum resources, and competing priorities. Clarity for Learning offers a simple and doable approach to developing clarity and sharing it with students. It’s teaching that is organized and intentional. Teacher clarity just requires that you know what students need to learn, communicate learning intentions and success criteria to students, and deliver lessons in a coherent way so students will learn more. Dr. Almarode will address the rollout of the new Math Standards using Clarity to support that rollout.
