Nancy Frey
Nancy Frey, Ph.D., is a Professor in Educational Leadership at San Diego State and a teacher leader at Health Sciences High and Middle College. She is a member of the International Literacy Association’s Literacy Research Panel. Her published titles include Visible Learning in Literacy, This Is Balanced Literacy, Removing Labels, and Rebound. Nancy is a credentialed special educator, reading specialist, and administrator in California and learns from teachers and students every day.
John Almarode
Dr. John Almarode, a bestselling author, has worked with schools, classrooms, and teachers all over the world. He has presented locally, nationally, and internationally on the application of the science of learning to the classroom, school, and home environments. In addition to devoting his time to PreK – 12 schools and classrooms, John is an Associate Professor of Education and the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education at James Madison University.
Steve Pemberton
Steve Pemberton is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Globoforce, the leading social recognition provider for companies worldwide. Prior to that he served as Chief Diversity Officer for Walgreens, becoming the first person to hold that position in the company’s 114 year history. He is widely considered a subject matter expert on matters of diversity and inclusion and its importance to the sustainability of organizations and the communities they serve. One of America’s most inspiring executives, Steve brings a deep personal understanding of human differences and the human experience to his position.
